Is this designed for use with infants or toddlers directly in it?
No — "Baby" is branding only, not a product designed for infant/toddler use.
What's the difference between Shady Baby and Shade Shack?
Size and capacity. Shade Shack is 245" W × 104" D × 70" H and seats 2–6 people, going up in under 90 seconds; Shady Baby is 197" W × 56" D × 60" H, seats 1–4 people, and goes up in under 60 seconds. Everything else matches — same canopy fabric, same air-frame and pump, same UPF 50, same 20 mph wind rating, same water resistance, same lifetime warranty. Colors differ too — Shady Baby comes in Blue/Light Blue, Ivory/Beige; Shade Shack in Beige, White.
How windy is too windy?
The frame is rated stable up to 20 mph. Inflate into the pump’s green zone — 6 PSI at the low end, 8 at the top — and stake every foot; that is the setting for any conditions the canopy is rated for. The tubing itself is rated to 10 PSI, which is headroom rather than a target.
What backs the UPF 50 rating?
The fabric manufacturer’s specification for the canopy material. It has not been through independent lab testing, so we describe it as the manufacturer rates it rather than claiming more than that.
Does it work on sand, grass, or pavement?
On sand or grass, anchor with the included ground stakes. On patios, decks and pavement, use securing straps instead — sandbag anchors are also available separately.
Do I need my own pump?
No — a manual hand pump is included.
How do I clean it?
Rinse it clean with a garden hose and let it dry before packing it away.
How do I store it?
Deflate fully via the air valve, fold the frame inward on each side, fold again until compact, and pack the pump and canopy into the included carry bag.
What's your warranty?
A lifetime warranty, handled as an exchange. It excludes punctures, tears and broken zipper seals.
