Almost 20 years in the making
Shady Baby has been almost 20 years in the making. It started as a passion project for founder Tommy, who wanted to spend as much of the summer as possible on the beach with his wife, three daughters, and close friends — without a canopy that flapped, collapsed, or blew away in the wind.
That idea — a bigger, steadier shade that wind couldn’t ruin — became years of prototypes and testing, refined into a canopy built for a quiet, calm day outdoors, wherever that day happens to be. The line has since grown to two sizes, so the same steady shade fits a small family or a full group.
